Jacob Thweni is a business student at Wayne State University, working towards a bachelor's degree in accounting. Upon graduation, he intends to further his education by applying to law school and a master's program. His ambition is to earn both a JD degree and a master's degree in accounting. His most recent role as a Tax Intern at Rehmann CPA in Troy, Michigan, from January to April 2023, saw him meticulously calculating tax payments, estimating returns, and ensuring the accuracy of financial data. Jacob's responsibilities extended to completing and reviewing tax documentation, billing clients, and focusing on preparations for forms such as the 1040 and 1041, business returns, and personal property taxes.

Prior to this, Jacob served as an Accounting Assistant at Anmar Thweni PC in Farmington, Michigan. His tenure, which spanned from June 2021 to December 2022 and resumed in June 2023, has been marked by his meticulous attention to detail in manually entering journal entries, managing timely submissions of 940 and 941 forms, and conducting monthly and year-end reconciliations. His proficiency in processing payments and conducting weekly audits of the order fulfillment process has been crucial in maintaining financial accuracy and integrity within the company.

Jacob's proficiency in finance was further developed during his time as a Loan Officer at Rapid Mortgage Funding in Birmingham, Michigan, from June 2020 to August 2021. In this role, he originated loans, maintained up-to-date knowledge of mortgage products, and leveraged his analytical skills to identify sales opportunities and address clients’ financial needs effectively.

Complementing his financial expertise, Jacob also possesses strong customer service skills, which he cultivated while working as a Food Service Worker at Fox Run Retirement Home in Novi, Michigan, from July 2018 to June 2022. His responsibilities included maintaining sanitation standards, managing customer service inquiries, cleaning, and taking detailed food orders—tasks that demanded precision and a high level of customer interaction.
